The morning's weather forecast was for sunshine and showers. But despite that there was a good turnout for this walk. Kentisbeare is a village not that well known to Forum members, many of whom were pleasantly surprised by how attractive it is. With a church dating back to 1296, an ancient pub, The Wyndham Arms, and lots of old cottages, it is full of charm. The walk took us on a circuit mostly to the north of the village centre, and was notable for the excursion alongside the fishing lakes at Goodiford Farm, and the Millenium Wood a short way to the east. The morning was rounded off with lunch at the pub. Many siad they would be coming again, the food was of such high quality.
