On Thursday 4 December the Forum Walking Group spent the morning walking from Otterton down alongside the River Otter to White Bridge, then by road and paths to East Budleigh village. We walked along some of the village streets and met Sir Walter Raleigh. We invited him to join us on the remander of our walk, but he declined to answer. Our route back to Otterton took us through some fields and by road, and included an overview of what looked to be a splendid model railway layout in the grounds of the property that was once Otterton station. We rounded off the outing with an enjoyable lunch at the Kings Arms.
