Forum Chairman John Jameson commented "This trip is just one of the many activities that Exeter Forum arranges to help its members stay active and mentally alert in later life."
It has been the custom in Exeter Forum for a short holiday trip to be arranged every second year. Two years ago Tenby in South West Wales was the base. This year it was Chester. So it was that a party of 27 members left Exeter on 18 May for 4 nights in a Chester hotel. While based there they visited the Vale of Llangollen, Liverpool, and Port Sunlight, as well as exploring Chester itself, and on top of that they fitted in visits to a couple of National Trust properties. This year the holiday chimed with Forum's 45th anniversary, the group having been originally set up in May 1970. Forum Chairman John Jameson commented "This trip is just one of the many activities that Exeter Forum arranges to help its members stay active and mentally alert in later life."
