In recent weeks Forum members have enjoyed the usual high quality of talks. Memorable among these were a talk about the explorer who travelled the world to learn all he could about indigo, a talk about how an Exeter family had eveolved over the years from very humble beginnings, and a talk about how keyboard music eveolved over the centuries which was illustrated by works from Bird via Handel and Mozart through to Satie played for us on the piano. In addition a coach trip to Bristol and the SS Great Britain was organised, and some 40 members took advantage of that. Besides several hours ona comprehensive tour of the ship, there was also time to take in some of Bristol's other offerings, such as the Museum and Art Gallery and the Royal West of England Academy.
