Rather than dropping down to the beach the walkers then turned inland, passing through the Dunscombe holiday caravan site,and thence up to the corner of the Donkey Sanctuary. The return route took to the fields to the west of the sanctuary, before joining the lanes for the return to the cars. The mroning was rounded off with lunch at the Blue Ball.
The last Forum Walk in September started from the car park in Salcombe Regis by the church. From there the route headed seaward, pausing for some fine views overlooking Sidmouth and the coast to the west. Turning then to the east along the cliff top, the walkers soon dropped down into Lincombe before climbing the other side for a further clifftop stretch heading towards Weston Mouth.
